Terms of Service

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TradesRoute platform operated by TradesRoute Ltd. (“TradesRoute”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. By using our website, mobile app, or services, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
TradesRoute is a marketplace that connects homeowners with qualified tradespeople. We provide lead generation, booking management, invoicing, and business tools for tradespeople. We are a technology platform — we do not employ tradespeople and are not responsible for the quality of work performed.
3. User Accounts
Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to use TradesRoute
- One account per person or business entity
Tradesperson Verification
- Gas engineers must hold a valid Gas Safe registration
- Electricians must hold valid NICEIC or Part P registration
- We verify qualifications but do not guarantee ongoing compliance
- Providing false verification information will result in immediate account termination
4. For Homeowners
- Submitting a job request is free and does not obligate you to hire
- We match you with qualified tradespeople based on your location, job type, and urgency
- Prepaid bookings are processed via Stripe; refund policies are set per tradesperson
- You should independently verify a tradesperson's qualifications before allowing work on gas or electrical installations
5. For Tradespeople
Lead Pricing
- Lead prices vary by job category (typically £5–£45 per lead)
- Leads are exclusive — each lead is sent to one tradesperson at a time
- You are not charged for leads you decline within the response window
Subscription Tiers
- Free: Pay-per-lead model with basic dashboard access
- Starter (£29/mo): Includes lead credits, prepaid bookings, and calendar
- Pro (£99/mo): Full business suite including invoicing, quotes, compliance, and campaigns
- Agency (£199/mo): Multi-location, white-label, API access, and priority support
Subscriptions renew monthly. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.
Conduct
- Respond to leads promptly (within the urgency window where possible)
- Maintain accurate availability in your calendar
- Do not contact homeowners through channels outside TradesRoute to circumvent fees
- Carry appropriate insurance for your trade
6. Payments
- All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details
- Homeowner prepaid bookings are held until job completion, then released to the tradesperson
- TradesRoute charges a platform fee on prepaid bookings (detailed in your dashboard)
- Invoicing between tradespeople and homeowners is the tradesperson's responsibility
7. Cancellation & Refunds
- Homeowners may cancel a prepaid booking up to 24 hours before the appointment for a full refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee
- No-shows by the tradesperson entitle the homeowner to a full refund
- Disputes are handled through our support team at support@tradesroute.co.uk
8. Intellectual Property
The TradesRoute name, logo, and platform are owned by TradesRoute Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of our platform without written permission. Content you upload (photos, descriptions) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to display it on the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
- TradesRoute is a marketplace platform. We do not perform trade work and are not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any work arranged through the platform
- Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid to TradesRoute in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@tradesroute.co.uk.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
